What's Expected of Members?
We expect (and fully hope) that all club members will have fun with their dogs. After all, that's what Buckeye DockDogs is about. Whether it's a practice, a sanctioned event or one of our social events, we're all here because of our love for our dogs.
Do you hold club meetings?
We hold a monthly meeting open to all members via phone conference call the first Wednesday of each month. This meeting is a great way to find out just what's going on within the club as well as DockDogs® Worldwide. While participation in these meetings is not mandatory, we certainly suggest attendance so you are sure to know what's happening within the DockDogs community.
How do I help out with the club?
- Represent Buckeye DockDogs in a sportsmanlike manner and uphold the bylaws of the club (found here) and the Rules & Policies of DockDogs® Worldwide (found here).
- Help new teams get wet at our practices and demos
- Sign up to work at our club DockDog events. There are all kinds of positions to be filled to make an event run smoothly. Please remember that anyone who signs up to work at our events will receive $5 in "Buckeye Bucks" for each 2.5 hours worked.
- Become a certified judge. We're always in need of judges to help judge
at our club events. We'll be glad to provide you with more information
if you feel this is something you would like to do for the club.
